2017 Read Comics in Public Day
4227 Genesee Avenue, San Diego, California 92117
Sunday, August 27, 2016.
The tables outside the Starbucks at the corner of Genesse and Balboa (4227 Genesee Avenue) in the Clairemont neighborhood on Sunday, August 27, from 10:am to 3:ish.
A day of reading and talking about comics in public on a sunny summer day.
There are lots of tables and umbrellas at the Starbucks, but you should still wear sunscreen and a hat. SERIOUSLY, WEAR A HAT. And bring water.
Most importantly, bring comics and/or graphic novels to share. A big part of Read Comics in Public Day is sharing and discovering new titles.
This is the eighth year of this international event, originally founded in 2010 as a day to show off your love of comic books by being seen reading them in public. http://www.facebook.com/readcomicsinpublic
It’s a public event, so feel free to invite other people. Young readers encouraged.
