“O.W.L. Defense Against the Dark Arts: Social Engineering
You are invited to attend a special evening session of Defense Against the Dark Arts to prepare for your O.W.L.’s (Ordinary Wizarding Levels). On the agenda are defenses against an advanced group of jinxes used to trick you into granting dark wizards access to your eclectical computer thingy-widgets. While it is unusual to demonstrate dark magic in a classroom, this O.W.L. level session will contain several demonstrations of the techniques to provide context to better perform the counter jinxes. We’ll look at telly phoney scams, email “Phishing”, and common in-person social engineering attacks designed to gain access to Ministry of Magic buildings or other important physical locations. Students are reminded that while this is an after hours session, proper attire for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry strongly suggested.”
