Palomar College Planetarium – Public Shows
Palomar College has built a new planetarium. We are open to the community and local schools. Choose an option to the right and explore the grand new venue for San Diego!
Public planetarium shows occur every Friday evening (even when Palomar College is not in session!)
Some helpful tips that will assist you with your planetarium visit:
Due to the darkened environment and safety concerns, children under the age of 5 years old are not allowed in the planetarium shows. No exceptions.
Tip #1: Purchase your tickets ahead of time using our online ticket service. A recent increase in attendance has frustrated those who attempt to purchase tickets at the box office on the night of the show when we sell out. To ensure that you have tickets and guaranteed seats on the night of your visit, we encourage you to purchase tickets ahead of time using our convenient online ticket purchasing service.
Tip #2: PLEASE USE the maps and directions provided on our website. Some visitors who do not use the maps and directions provided are getting lost when they arrive to campus. The maps and directions provided on our website will direct you to the correct parking lot that allows FREE parking (Lot #5 only) and will help you find your way to the planetarium once you are parked.
We look forward to seeing you at the planetarium!
